Already happened to you in the channels of discord servers then, huh?
What makes you say "No DMs ever again. Never" to the first incidence of that, but not "No social media" or "No discord"?

The whole point of their pfp and name is to attract that. You’re basically telling some prostitute that their outfit is gonna attract base men while they’re playing coy.ArcaneLurker wrote: ↑ January 5th, 2025, 19:32Already happened to you in the channels of discord servers then, huh?

The point of pointing out is to see how he responds, so I can tell whether he's trolling or genuinely autistic.

Femboi_Otaku wrote: ↑ January 5th, 2025, 18:50The One I Love (2014) -- I'd say this is a solid 5/5
At their therapist's suggestion, a couple with a troubled marriage spend the weekend at a quite retreat to re-connect but encounter strange occurrences soon after arriving.
(it's not a romcom but more of a surreal sci-fi/drama)
Honestly, don't look up a trailer or read up anymore about. I went in totally blind with less info than that and I thought it was really great. Also the ending is telegraphed ahead of time, but to be honest I was hoping for that ending anyway.
A fan of direct-to-streaming slop huh.It was released on August 1, 2014, through video on demand, prior to a limited release on August 22, 2014, by RADiUS-TWC.

Anyway, to bring this back on topic here are a couple more movies I watched recently...
Under the Skin (2013) -- 1/5 (and I'm being generous)
I kept seeing this movie recommended on reddit constantly as a horror classic so I had to check it out. Its basically just Scarlett Johansson driving around in a van picking up random guys and killing them. Then she eats some cake and spits it out. Then the movie ends. Honestly, its wild that she is even in this.
-cons -- Very boring. Scarlett J. driving, walking, driving, walking again.
-pro -- Scarlett J. gets nude a couple times. Certain sound queues where actually creepy, ig.
A Cure for Wellness -- 5/5 (so good!)
OMG! This movie was really good! It's about this junior executive at a financial firm who is sent to a remote wellness center in Switzerland to bring back a senior executive who's staying there. But after arriving he begins to suspect that the center's director and his staff are hiding secrets. I don't wanna give too much away but it starts as a sorta sci-fi/mystery and ends as dracula-esque horror.
Has some nice visuals and I took a bunch of sceenshots.
Here are 2 >.<

Lockhart goes a bit crazy

You don't know anyone online. I'd understand it, if you were a child.I just don't read and delete DMs from people I don't know.
Can't you trust yourself to cut off a conversation with a weirdo after you read & respond to a message? That's what seems bizarre about the statement.
It's pretty autistic (read as: socially clueless) to not understand how the way you present yourself online might be an advertisement to fagooners, that you are someone lonely, vulnerable, naïve, suggestable & likes attention from men. Identifying with the little anime girl, along with 'femboi,' is also going to appeal to the wrong crowd.I'm not trolling and I think waaaay too many people self-diagnose themselves as autistic. I'm just me.

Idiocracy (2006)
5.5/10
Decent film, Mike Judge is good at comedy (he did King of the Hill, Beavis and Butthead, and Office Space). Though I feel this film's strongest scene was the opening, and then the rest was just alright.
This part got the biggest laugh out of me

I watched it with my niece. We both loved it. The little mayor ballooning into a huge scooter fatso really made her giggle, but I just cracked up at the scene where the girl put on her glasses.Gunnar wrote: ↑ January 7th, 2025, 12:32I watched Cloudy with a chance of meatballs last night and found it to be quite funny and entertaining 5/5 kids movie

NOSFERATU (2024)
4/5
I liked the atmosphere of the movie, the cinematography was great. Perhaps the only things I disliked were the overtly sexual scenes Orlok/Nosferatu is naked in one scene and you can see his penis for a few seconds, Ellen is naked or exposed often, due to Nosferatu being connected to her, she gets these dreams/trances where he basically mindfucks her and she gyrates a lot and moans, some more extreme scenes where she is basically possessed has her thrusting the air, there is a scene where Ellen is somewhat possessed and says that her Husband can't satisfy her the same way Nosferatu does, which results in a sex scene between Ellen and Thomas and (this might be due to German dubbing) the overdramatized way they were talking. What I also liked were the grotesque facial distortions the actress of Ellen did (some people apparently didn't) This is less of a problem with the movie but the people watching were fucking annoying. Kept laughing, or talking.

Abigail (2025) -- 4/5
Bite (2015) -- 1/5
Both films are horror comedies with the same basic premise: 6 criminals kidnap the daughter of a crime boss for ransom, only to find out she is not a normal girl after being trapped inside a mansion with her.
It's clear that Abigail took some inspiration from Bite for the plot's setup, but it quickly diverges from there and it's ultimately very different and does it's own thing so it's not a direct ripoff.
I think Abigail is the better of the two movies. Better characters, story, sets, most of the jokes are actually funny, better horror(although neither movies are truly scary, imo.) It's just better all around.

I fucking love that movie. I knew nothing about it when I first watched it, and to be broadsided with the mid-film switch out of nowhere was lush. It's a superbly paced film too, every scene has me invested.Cmdr Shepard wrote: ↑ December 19th, 2024, 19:31From Dusk til Dawn

I liked the gore, but wasn't a fan of the green vampire blood. Characters were great aside from Richie (part because he's played by Quentin Tarentino and because the character was a piece of shit) some deaths sucked (Sex Machine and Jacob) but Selma Hayek for the short amount was the typical eye candy vampire until she wasn't, kek

I knew it was about vampires from the start, but the whole situation in the first half of the movie is so tense and serious that I totally forgot about it right up until they arrived at the bar. Then it turns into an action comedy and it's very fun to watch.Falksi wrote: ↑ January 11th, 2025, 08:21I fucking love that movie. It's kinda like with Edgar Wright's The World's End. The writing and acting and the characters are so good that the sudden switch into an alien apocalypse movie hits like a truck.

Resident Evil: Death Island (2023) - 4/5
It now feels bizarre (in a refreshing way) watching a movie that literally only has White characters, even amongst extras. Feels like it must have been made ages ago somehow. The movie is quite a generic action & zombie movie, to the point where it seems a bit silly to pick it apart, you know what you're getting, but the villain had a pretty interesting motivation, and they kept the mystery surrounding that going till the end. The 3D animation might bother some people but I enjoyed it for what it is, not everything has to be a cinematic masterpiece, and it didn't feel like just an advert. There's maybe a slight bias towards the heroines, in terms of the plot's focuses, since Leon joins later, but they at least have some background lore for why the action girl & femme fatale, Jill and Maria are stronger than the average woman.
